Central AR Christian School Reviews

Being at CAC has been a wonderful experience. The Elementary School is amazing. They're so welcoming and kind, and the kids never want to leave. And the high school has so many opportunities for kids to succeed. There is a great Christian emphasis that isn't pushed down your throats or makes you feel uncomfortable if you're not a part of one group. They've obviously made some huge changes from the time that some of these other reviewers were at CAC. Our family is new to the CAC family (and that's what they make you feel like!), but we have had nothing but positive experiences and met the most amazing people!

I am a past graduate of CAC, having attended 7th-12th grade. I was disappointed in the variety of classes offer- I tried 2 times to enroll in physics which was never offered during my years. I also felt very discriminated against since I was not church of christ. I felt that every portion of the school forced their religious choice down our throats- separating by sex when females were praying, etc. I have always attended a christian school, and never until I attended cac, did I feel out of place, looked down upon, or ignored by the staff as I did there. I hope the school has changed for the better- our students need an education- a really good one to be able to compete with public school students, who are given much more opportunity for advanced placement classes, as well as college credit.

Certainly, no school is going to be perfect, but CAC has done so much to separate itself from all other area schools. As a parent, I feel so comfortable with the teachers and the administration. I love that the students are in a safe environment where they can also talk about their faith. I feel like the education they're getting is so well-founded and really prepares them for what to expect at the next level. Parents are welcomed to get involved and you can really feel that CAC is a family and cares about these kids. We love it!

While the athletics program is extremely successful, it is the academics and Christian environment that I appreciate most for my children. This past year, CAC was the only school to produce two National Merit Scholars out of only 24 in the entire state. The average ACT score of graduating seniors has not been less than 25 since my children enrolled. And while the athletics program is one of the best in the state, experience has shown that it is the people that make this possible. While I cannot speak of the culture before my children arrived just a couple of years ago, CAC has hired strong Christian men and women the past few years and is now reaping the benefits of attracting a top-quality faculty and staff. While I realize that no place is the right fit for everyone, CAC is an outstanding Christian environment of excellence I whole-heartedly recommend.

My child has been attending CAC for several years and we have liked it until this year. This year I have heard several teachers and parents make fun of other childrens beliefs (if they are not church of christ). I was really upset, I have taught my child not to judge or discriminate and thought I was sending him to a good christian school. I am having serious thoughts of not returning next year. Academically this is a good school. But, they need to put more into the educations and God instead of Sports and winning.

My husband and I wanted our daughter to receive an christian education, several of my co-workers children attended CAC and after meeting with the principal Mrs. Cruse (who we were very impressed with) we decided to enroll her. He are not Christ of God in Christ and we are African American so both of these things placed our daughter in the minority so you can understand our deep concern. Well, after all this time he have no serious complaints. My daughter loves going to school and always comes home talking about her day. CAC has put all of our conerns to rest and I highly recommend the school to parents who only want the best for there child.

I too am a former student of CAC. I also do not have positive comments to share. I am hoping that since my graduation, persceptions have changed. I am not church of christ and my brother was point blank told that he was going to hell because he wasn't. That is not a christian outlook if you ask me. Accelerated programs were not offered and at the time, they used our African bus driver for a french teacher (not accredited)SO let's hope that CAC really does put more focus on academics than the money it takes to get there.

My name is kayla breshears and I was a hurricane victom from louisiana and I attendend that school for about a month and it is the best school but I had to move back and I miss all of my teachers and friends that I made. My favorite teacher was Mrs. Kilgore. The people there are great.

having attend private school fo r all of my life 8 yrs at arkansas baptist and 1 at cac i have to say that i really could imagine my self at anywhere but cac yes, some times i do wish that i was i a public school where i didnt have to where skirts , but then i think about the dynamic education that i am recieving here at cac after leaving my security blanket at baptist , the students here welcomed me with open arms and by the end of the year i liked it here at cac better than there.i think that if u want your student to excell at acdemics and sports the CACi s the place for you! a 10th grader at cac

My son loves CAC and so do I. We are not Church of Christ, We are Methodist and I do not feel that we are treated any different. I'm very involved with the school and treated with respect. You reap what you sow. My son and I treat people with respect and in return we are treated with respect. As far as the education goes my child has learned more in the first grade than I did in the 3rd. I'm very pleased with Central Arkansas Christian.

My daughter attended CAC and received a great education. The school was strict but that was not a problem for my daughter. She was able to attend college on an academic scholarship because of her education at CAC. It was well worth the money.

I am a previous student of CAC and do not have great things to say about it. Think twice before sending your child there. Since graduating from a different school in 1995, I have thought about my experience there. I come from a Christian family, but not specifically the Church of Christ. In addition to that, I feel that the faculty is derogatory and a little harsh at unnecessary times. The faculty is more concerned with the length of a girl's skirt, than academic importance. Having been to other schools, both public and private,I can see that education is not the main concern here. I will never pay money for my child to get a mediocre education and be told that differences are wrong.
