Who Is TwinSpirit?

TwinSpirit's eclectic flavor is a tasty blend of jazz, hip-hop, and blues. Sprinkled with a dash of gospel and served up with a side of funk. It’s smothered in sexiness and served piping hot. Its been coined "SULTRY SOUL" which charismatically describes TwinSpirits artistic and vocal abilities.

Since being able to walk TwinSpirits unique crowd capturing performance style and vocal ability was apparent. Originally from Little Rock, Arkansas this singer/songwriter has been afforded the opportunity to showcase her unique talent at a multitude of notable venues and events all across the US.

As a member of the Female R&B Trio “Authentik Soul” from 1995-1999 TwinSpirit greatly developed her professional performance style. The group attended The Motown Talent Showcase in St. Louis, MO and The Music Buzz conference in Atlanta, GA. They also made regular appearances at Praises in the Park Annual Event, Power 92 Juneteeth Celebrations where they opened for artists such as Ray J, H-Town, Benito, Tamia, and the O’Jays.

After four artistically enriching years with “Authentik Soul” the members collectively agreed to pursue different creative endeavors. Confident with her decision to strike out in a new direction TwinSpirit soon found her niche, as the lead singer for one of the hottest regional bands “Afrodesia”. This act took the region by storm with their hot blend of soulful jazz inspired world music and reggae.

TwinSpirit quickly acquired a significant fan base who would regularly travel to see her vibrant performances with“ Afrodesia” at some of the regions hottest clubs and nightspots, Including but not limited to: Juanita’s Cantina in Little Rock, AR; Dave’s on Dickson & Chesters in Fayetteville, AR ; Sticky Fingers Rock Roll Chicken Shack in Little Rock, AR, Annual Arkansas Riverfest, Hi-Tone Blues City Café and the Gibson Lounge both located in Memphis, TN; and Roxies in Talehqua, OK.

TwinSpirit is a versatile artist with a wide range of abilities. She is an extraordinary vocalist with mastery in a number of musical styles ranging from Jazz to Hip-Hop. A top notch lyricist/songwriter and a skilled producer.

TwinSpirit has added further depth and precision to her arsenal with the release of her solo debut "Introduction to the Soul" a collection of 14 original cuts recorded by TwinSpirit from her home studio in Little Rock, AR.

The CD has begun to garner much attention and is in regular rotation on Solar Radio, 102.8, and Amstelveen Lokaal 107.2 FM, all which are UK based radio stations and Freewave 77.7 FM which is based in Fukuoka, Japan.

This young woman is slowly but surely gaining attention. She was voted UK based SaveOurSoul Artist of the Year 2003.  Her vocals are so deeply hypnotic, they penetrate to the core of the soul of the listener. Her live performances are so honest and real that many have called it "a spiritual experience". She transcends genres and effortlessly blends them all into one sound. Her sound.....

TwinSpirit is REAL.

She is a master at her craft yet is still always ready and willing to listen and learn more. She is a hard worker and doesn't believe you get something for nothing. She is very hands on and a pleasure to work with. She..this soul called "TwinSpirit"...is destined for great things...

With 8+ years of actual industry experience coupled with natural raw talent , the ability to connect with her audience on a spiritual and cellular level, beauty inside and out…..

TwinSpirit is without a doubt - The Total Package!!

Nasty Abbott

View Full Profile

NASTY ABBOTT THEN- The Abbotts from Cabot have been playing music since the mid 80’s. In their early days, the Abbotts did their own thing and backed up local and national artists such as Cora Jones, Gino Wesley and the ‘58 Delrays, Frank Starr (50’s rockabilly recording artist) and Dean Mathis (60’s recording artist) of the Newbeats. The music varied from country to blues to rock-and-roll. At that time, the Abbotts consisted solely of brothers Robert, Lonnie, and Jay.

NOW- After a long 10 year break, the band reformed as Nasty Abbott in late September, 2005. They have since added yet another Abbott brother, Mike, on lead guitar and former lead singer of the Chicklettes, Kristin Goodwin. Their sound has grown into a unique sound that is totally new to Little Rock. Their music could be described as 60’s garage with an 80’s punk retro twist. The band is currently recording at Blackwater Studios in Cabot Arkansas and hope to release a CD later this year. Local radio station, 100.3 The Edge has been playing their song “Picture on my wall” on a program called Download, a Sunday night show featuring local and new music.
