Avoid this place

Not clean and too few animals. Staff is unfriendly from the entrance, where you pay 8 dollars for kids over 1 year old and 10 dollars for adults, it is overpriced. In addition, strollers are 7-20 dollars plus 5 dollar deposit. Rides are very short and are 2 dollars per person. Expensive slow cafe inside and expensive gift shop as you exit. Children have trouble seeing into most exhibits, but since they are mainly empty concrete and dirt enclosures, they aren't missing much.
Little Rock zoo is a great place for a family day.

The Little Rock zoo is a great place to reconnect with your family while viewing animals. All of the animals that they have are in viewable confinement. They have even made clear places in the different animals homes for stroller occupants to see the animals without having to be taken out. It would be better if the Little Rock zoo had more of a variety of animals. Visiting the zoo is very much worth the cost.
Great for days you want to spend outdoors

The zoo is a great way to spend a day outdoors. There are many animal exhibits to look at. There is even a little train to ride around in for a different view of the zoo. The prices aren't that bad either. They close around 4:00 so don't go around that time or you will miss seeing a lot of the animals. The elephants are put up really early. There is a big parking lot, so you can always find a good parking place not far from the entrance.
